The home will be open by appointment to the public for a period of six months and used as an educational center for sustainable building techniques and design as well as an exhibition site for new products and materials used in the construction of green homes. Schools, universities, architects, designers and sponsors will be invited to tour the house. Video screens located in each of the home's main areas will introduce and explain all special techniques and materials used in the construction.
